Transformers animated - prototype toy of Bulkhead

Bulkhead, the Autobot from Transformers Animated sures look so bulky. It looks annoying when you see him with a big body, small head and short legs, but this Bulkhead character looks a strong guy for the team.

Bay took it back - 300 movie saves Transformers movie 2

TFPH member zaptheman informed us this news

Michael Bay HD-DVD post
08/21/2007 07:51 PM
Last night at dinner I was having dinner with three Blu-Ray owners, they were pissed about no Transformers Blu-Ray and I drank the kool aid hook line and sinker. So at 1:30 in the morning I posted - nothing good ever comes out of early am posts mind you - I over reacted. I heard where Paramount is coming from and the future of HD and players that will be close to the $200 mark which is the magic number. I like what I heard.

As a director, I'm all about people seeing films in the best quality possible, and I saw and heard firsthand people upset about a corporate decision.

So today I saw 300 on HD-DVD, it rocks!

So I think I might be back on to do Transformers 2!

Tupperware Transformers

Through the decades, people have seen Tupperware items in all forms and shapes: as cookie jars, as plastic forks and spoons, and as dinner plates, among others. But has anyone looked at Tupperware and seen the potential for a Transformers robot, or a bedside lamp?

No Transformers movie 2 for Michael Bay

"I want people to see my movies in the best formats possible. For them to deny people who have Blu-ray sucks! They were progressive by having two formats. No Transformers 2 for me!"

from his site

It sucks to hear from him about this, and because of HD DVD wars, and having an idea that the Transformers movie will be available exclusively on HD DVD format, Bay dumps his directing stunt for the 2nd movie.

hmmmm.. this is only the beginning of the end

ROBOFIESTA@ THE SHANG

Ego Systems and Shangri-La Plaza Corporation invite the public to view RoboFiesta@The Shang on August 25 and 26 as robotics teams from various schools come together at the mall’s Grand Atrium, showcasing the best in Philippine robotics to audiences both young and old as an influential avenue for education, industry, sport, and entertainment.

Powered by Energizer and presented in cooperation with Felta Multi-Media Inc (National Organizer of the 6th Philippine Robotics Olympiad), the Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology, with the support of the Department of Education and SmartBro, RoboFiesta@The Shang is designed as a creative event, enabling those with long-standing interest and work in robotics to showcase what Filipinos of various age brackets have come up with.

Schools who have figured prominently in various city-wide, national and international competitions, and whose own academic and extra-curricular programmes provide their students with the creative zeal, will feature their works and share info on possible applications of robotics technology in various fields. Among these are Makati Science High School, Grace Christian High School, Colegio de San Agustin, Juan Sumulong High School, Novaliches High School, Manila Science High School, Mapua Institute of Technology, University of the Philippines Mobile Robotics Laboratory, Adamson University, AMA Computer University, and Batangas-based First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH), which won the championship in the World Robotics Olympiad held in Nanning, China last year.

The event likewise seeks to bring out other robotics enthusiasts who have remained "undergound" as hobbyists, but whose yen for creativity in electronics design puts them in a league far removed from traditional model-makers. CP David of the Raya School will give a workshop on Basic Electronics for 7-year-olds, while Henry Chua of E-Gizmo Mechatronix Central will discuss their latest hexapod and biped robots.. Richard Taylor and his students at Manila Science High School will share their experience in “Learning Physics Through Robotics,” even as teams from Mapua, UP, and Adamson demonstrate robotic applications in industry , the military, and disaster recovery.

RoboFiesta@The Shang invites school teams to join friendly competitions in sumo, line-trace and maze-navigation using the Lego Mindstorms series, while public schools who took part in the Makati Mayor’s Cup Robotics Series cap their Open Design Competition through a collective module on Robot Sports. Mylene Abiva-Sazon, president of Felta Multi-Media, will conduct an E-Lab for Lego Education, leading to father-son and father-daughter contests. .

Curated by Susan Isorena-Arcega for Ego Systems Inc, RoboFiesta @The Shang also features Norman Crisologo’s array of vintage robots, collected during his trips and from ukay-ukay stores all over the country. Special guest appearances will be put in by C3PO, R2D2, and Optimus Prime, courtesy of the New Worlds Alliance. Information displays from Japan, Korea, and Germany will highlight major developments in the field of robotics alongside the Carnegie Mellon University’s Robot Hall of Fame.

RoboFiesta@The Shang is brought to you by Japan Foundation, E-Gizmo Mechatronix Central, Festo Didactics, Raya School, Richville Hotel, Figaro, NU107, Dunkin Donuts, Ilustrador ng Kabataan, KidzStation, WowWee Toys, Centrex, and the Metropolitan Museum. Those wishing to join the competitions and take part in the workshops should pre-register by emailing siouxstar@gmail.com

For the complete activity schedule and other enquiries, please call the Shangri-La Plaza’s Marketing Division at 636-1228, or contact mobile numbers 0919-4885409 / 0906-3099595.

Check Out My Beatmix Bumblebee's Bebot-MTV

The Transformers movie has hit the theaters and the endless pimping of merchandise has begun. That having been said, get a load of the Beatmix Bumblebee.

The Transformers Electronic Beatmix Bumblebee Figure is coming from another planet to interface with your iPods and MP3 players, and when he does, there will be plenty of dancing! This little guy will remix your music and get down to the beat, transforming your tunes into a mad remix that would make a DJ proud. (Or at least, a very young DJ proud.) Why settle for non-dancing toys when this one is going to make your day all the more fun
I thought the Autobots came to Earth to wage war against the Decepticons. Apparently they just wanted to pop and lock on the dance floor.

I finally got the chance to get my hands on one and I decided to make this MTV just for kicks. I just can't let the latest star of my desk space go unnoticed. I'm such a sucker for toys & gadgets!

Btw, the speaker's aren't that great. There's no treble or bass control and you can only change the volume levels from your music device. So don't expect to spend countless hours listening to you MP3 player on this. It's also battery operated only without any AC to DC adapter socket option. However, what I find really cool is the manufacturer's attention to detail and paint job. Personally, despite the Mascot-Sized head proportions, I think this is the most movie-accurate toy version of Bumblebee. The sound recording and mixing is a pretty cool feature in addition to the toys dancing capability. If you're looking to impress your friends with a nice Desk Space Display...you'd probably wanna check this out!

Go see the Bebot MTV I made featuring my beatmix Bumblebee.
